The main purpose of the Highland Gardens Elementary School's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to support our school. Our mission is to foster community at Highland Gardens, raise funds to enrich the curriculum by providing special programs beyond the school's budget, facilitate communication between the parents, administration and school board, and recognize faculty effort.

Our main goal is to reach 100% membership, which means we are hoping at least one parent or guardian per child becomes a member of the Highland Gardens PTA. The membership dues help support events at the school such as teacher treat days and donuts for dads, as well as help fund new equipment and supplies for the school. As everyone knows, the public schools' budgets are limited and every extra penny helps. Our school would not be as good as it is without the support of parents and sponsors.

The PTA also raises money for the school through events such as the Fall Carnival and Spirit Cup sales. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help with these and other events at the school. WE NEED YOU!!
